Humpday Rewind is a weekly post of photographs that are (ideally) over a year old. What for? Because sometimes all we (I) need is a little bit of nostalgia to get us (me) through the week.

The photo above was taken years back when I actually had a jawline, and I still wore statement shirts that say ”Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.“ . That night was a landmark one, primarily because of a post-noche buena discussion with my mom and my siblings. To this day, I still fondly refer to it as the best Christmas ever.
This edition of Humpday Rewind is dedicated to a dear, dear friend who I feel had the equivalent of that night just this past weekend. Actually, I’m doing this to commemorate that long, late-night discussion the two of us had, in the event that my forgetful mind decides to just blank out in the future.
You. I cannot even begin to tell you how tremendously ecstatic I am for you, and even more so, how proud I am of what you’ve accomplished. It sounds funny how I speak about it as an accomplishment, but isn’t that what it really is? A triumph, and a significant one at that, since it’s a victory with and within one’s self. Enjoy your new-found freedom and inner peace my friend, and know that as has been the case in the past, I will always have your back. Mas lalo na ngayon dapat ‘di ba? Image may be NSFW.

Hump day, noun:
The absolute BEST day of the week, the day of maximum hope that maybe, you might make it out of this week alive. A particularly good hump day can last you the rest of the week, and by Doomday morning (Monday) you survive by anticipating hump day. Nothing goes wrong on hump day.
